Lahaina Art Galleries

Before dinner, we strolled down Lahaina’s Front Street to see the art galleries and shop.  Friday night is Art Night, so some of the galleries serve snacks and wine.  We were impressed by the fact that several artists have their main gallery on Front Street.  One gallery in particular had many originals.  We saw originals of Durer’s Ascension, Taking Down the Cross and 2 others.  They were small, either pen & ink or woodcuts, about 5 x 7.  They also had an original self-portrait of Rembrandt and a much larger Rembrandt of Christ coming down from the cross.  The gallery boasted many originals from Picasso, Dali, Chagall and even Red Skelton.  Did you know Red Skelton painted?  I didn’t
